DANETTE A. ERNST, P.E.

General Experience:  Ms. Ernst has fifteen years of experience in the analysis, de­sign, and construction administration of building mechanical systems.  Project experience includes work at museums, historical buildings, private schools, universities, office buildings and religious buildings. Her experience covers both renovation and new construction projects.

 

In her role as Senior Mechanical Engineer, Ms. Ernst performs the building mechanical system evaluations and coordinates the engineering, design and construction administration of the mechanical systems on selected projects.  She is responsible for the computer modeling for energy use and life cycle analysis.  Ms. Ernst also serves as Project Manager for selected projects.

 

Selected Project Experience:

 

§         Multiple projects to the Upper and Lower Schools, as well as the Middle School, which is targeting a Platinum Level LEED certification, Sidwell Friends School, Washington, DC.

§         Renovation of the historic Nemours Mansion and Museum, Wilmington, DE.

§         New integrated athletic center with gymnasiums, fitness center, squash, fencing, multipurpose, locker rooms and other support spaces including detailed energy, emissions, and LEED analyses.  Project achieved a LEED Gold certification. Haverford College, Haverford, PA

§         Renovations and additions to the historic Capitol Theater, Dover, DE

§         New admissions and administrative facility at the Gateway Building for Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr, PA

§         New Visitors Education Center and Interpretive Museum, National Environmental Education center, John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum, Philadelphia, PA

§         New Multi-faith Sanctuary addition to existing Eisenhower Chapel at Penn State, State College, PA

§         Renovation of the Historic Gettysburg Train Station, Gettysburg, PA
