Bruce E. Brooks & Associates (BBA) is led by principals Bruce Brooks, Brad Randall and John Hodos, who direct a staff of more than 30 dedicated and talented engineers and support personnel.

Services include mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems engineering, along with building systems commissioning, lighting design and energy audits.

BBA’s mission is to design facilities that are safe and healthy for the people who occupy, visit and maintain them. As expert advisors, we help clients obtain the best value for their construction dollars, both in initial costs and in operating, repair and replacement costs.

The focus of our practice is on:

• Architecturally Significant Projects. Good architecture and engineering are integrated functions, from the initial visualization of the project to its commissioning and placement into service. BBA is known for our careful and sensitive incorporation of building systems into both historic and new structures of architectural significance.
• Sustainable Architecture. Finding solutions that are environmentally responsible and sustainable is the driving force behind our design approach to new construction, renovations, historic preservation and adaptive reuse. Our deep commitment to environmental stewardship is reflected in technical solutions that are embraced by ten LEED Accredited Professionals and four LEED Green Associates.
• Specialized Environments: We’ve built a reputation in the analysis and design of facilities with specialized environmental and reliability mandates. Examples range from the design of archive spaces with strict temperature, humidity, fire protection and UV light level constraints, to laboratories and mission critical telecommunication and data centers.
